I have a summer goal for all of us! This summer we are going to be blasting the Lion King songs in Spanish!
When the Lion King was released in 1994, I was a third grader learning English in Ecuador. I was so in love with the movie and with my English classes that I decided to learn all the lyrics of the Lion King sountrack.
Music can be a powerful resource for language acquisition. Little I knew that this fun activity was helping me tremendously with my English skills. They were boosting my listening and vocabulary skills while I was having fun.
I am very excited to watch the new Lion King movie here in Ecuador. I still think it’s the best Disney movie ever. I will watch it in Spanish and I am sure I will be singing my heart out. (And crying my eyes out!)
