10 Bilingual Books about Thanksgiving

Gracias / Thanks

This is my favorite bilingual book about Thanksgiving by far. I love how Pat Mora showcases the bicultural life of the main character and shares the importance of being grateful for the little things.

Rubber Shoes: A Lesson in Gratitude / Los zapatos de goma: una lección de gratitud

This is a great book for every child of your life. Trust me. It will teach them to be grateful and count their blessings. Gladys Elizabeth is very disappointed with the new shoes her mother picks out for her. After trying unsuccessfully to rid herself of the shoes, she is taught a lesson in gratitude that changes her feelings about them.

Where is my Turkey? ¿Dónde esta mi pavo?

A fun story about a child dressed as a pilgrim and his pet Turkey experience their very first Thanksgiving. This book is a great option for beginner readers.

¿Pavo Por La Cena De Gracias? No, Gracias / Turkey for Thanksgiving Dinner? No Thanks!

Alma Flor Ada does it again with this powerful bilingual book. If you love animals, this bilingual book is a great option for you!

I’m Thankful Each Day!/Doy Gracias Cada Dia!

Easy to read book for all ages with a great message about gratitude.

El Pavo que se olvidó cómo hacer Glu-Glú (Spanish Edition)

My preschooler LOVES this book. He is always asking me to read it over and over again. It’s definitely a great title for your bilingual baby.

Little Critter: Just So Thankful

Franklin y el día de acción de gracias

Since Grandma and Grandpa can’t make it for Thanksgiving dinner this year, Franklin invites some friends for dinner, but when each of his parents have the same idea, a very special and festive meal ensues. Simultaneous.

¿Has Llenado una Cubeta Hoy?: Una Guía Diaria de Felicidad para Niños

My girls love the message of this book.

Un regalo de gracias: La leyenda de la Altagracia

I love Julia Alvarez’s work! Her writing is passionate and inspiring. The story tells us about Marâia’s family and how they are almost forced to leave their farm on the new island colony, until a mysterious lady appears in Marâia’s dream. Great book for all ages!
