All You Need to Know About Disney Encanto Movie

Disney Encanto Movie

I have been waiting for the movie Encanto by Disney ever since I heard that it was in the works. Colombia is dear to my heart. As Ecuadorian, we share many similarities with our Colombian neighbors. I have family in Medellín and many great friends around the Colombia and outside. That is why I feel this movie represents me and my family.

What is this new Disney’s movie about?

Encanto tells the tale of the Madrigals family, who live in Encanto, a vibrant and charmed town in a magical house hidden town in the mountains of Colombia. The magic of the Encanto has blessed every child in the family with a unique gift except one, Mirabel.

when she discovers that the magic surrounding the Encanto is in danger, Mirabel decides that she, the ordinary Madrigal, might just be her exceptional family’s last hope.

Encanto is a movie about love, family and miracles. I am glad this movie captures the real essence and heart of the Colombian people that hasn’t been portrayed in film for the past 30 years.

Hola Música! Encanto’s Songs Are Beautiful

There is a lot of culture in the music. In fact, they recorded the music with Colombian percussionists and accordionists. The film features original songs that are Emmy, Grammy and Tony Award-winner Lin-Manuel Miranda and Carlos Vives!!!!!

My vallenato love came from listening to Carlos Vives. He is a native of Santa Marta, and he said that the song he sings is “a celebration of the magical diversity of Colombia.” Me dan ganas de bailar con su música. Viva Colombia! Walt Disney Animation Studios’ “Encanto” opens in theaters November 24, 2021.
