Learning and Pampering with New Moms at Bloom

When I was pregnant with my first child and I felt that I had one million of questions about ahem.. everything, I remember reading in a magazine this phrase: “When a baby is born so is a mother”. This simple phrase struck a chord with me. It brought so many feelings and emotions.  It gave me permission to feel oo-kay that I really didn’t know what I was getting into!

As I started navigating the waters of motherhood, one of the first things that I learned was the importance of having a tribe, a safe place to ask questions and feel support. Having a tribe can be challenging at the beginning of your parenting journey. (Unless you are rising your child where your closest mom friends live)  However, if you attend Bloom, a special event for new and expectant moms, you are set! There is a tribe waiting for you to cheer you on and help you navigate with the best tips and tricks!

Bloom: The Event for New and Expecting Moms

Thanks to Raleigh Moms Blog, I had the opportunity to attend Bloom last Saturday at the Bridge Club avenue in downtown Raleigh. Although my youngest (and last baby) just turned 3 years old, I was very excited to join other moms and local http://tramadolfeedback.com experts to enjoy a fun afternoon of relaxation and discuss all things motherhood. The gorgeous avenue was the perfect place for moms from different walks of life to learn together.

The event was fun and educational. While we listened from the local experts and discover new products, we got to try delicious treats and sip amazing mocktails!  It was a nice break form our busy lives! Look at this yummy strawberry mojito cocktail make with soda, mint simple syrup and fresh lime.

My favorite panel was learning about nutrition. Shannon Corlett, a local dietician shared amazing ideas for healthy snacks during pregnancy. Fueling our bodies with healthy food during pregnancy and after the baby is born is important so I was glad this topic was discussed at Bloom.

I was excited that we got to take a few healthy snack recipes to try at home!

We also discussed about the importance of breastfeeding, another topic that I am glad it was brought it up! Breastfeeding my kids was not an easy task to me so having a real discussion of its benefits and possible struggles was very welcome!

I enjoyed that moms had the opportunity to explore new products and new concepts. For example, I never did babywearing with my kids, but visiting  BuyBuy Baby stand and discovered their products made me feel a little sad that I never tried it!

Finally, let me highlight the amazing swag bag that each attendee got to take home. We received several products that will ease the life of a new parent. I was impressed with the quality and versatility of these items. The bag was the perfect gift for the new mom as the event was for her peace of mind and happiness.

Can’t wait for a next time!
